So Excited...

Yes, I'm so excited for our bi-annual girls trip to the central coast.  We are leaving in the morning for the ROTP Vintage Show.
http://www.remnantsofthepast.com/   I love going to this show... my brain starts spinning from all the ideas, wants, and pretties... that I break down and need to eat a cupcake!

This fall we have invited Becca's RD from college to join us.  I'm looking forward to spending time with the wonderful Amber.  She is so sweet, full of wisdom, has the greatest handwriting I've ever seen, and is so crafty!

Our family was discussing details about the trip and the topic of the special guest of the show(Rachel Ashwell) was brought up. The discussion became quite heated when I said, "she started shabby chic".  Then the men in the family became quite upset and said that she didn't.  They continued, "women have been ruining great pieces of furniture with paint for years, and that she put a name on the ruined pieces".  I had to laugh, my dear husband loves the look of natural wood, and I want to paint everything!   Infact, I think I'll go paint something NOW!

I had to laugh about the men's point of view concerning Shabby Chic. My husband has had to get over this guy idea. Now he just shakes his head and says . "uh huh, that would be great white" He know's he can't talk me out of it, and besides it always DOES look better white!!! Just joined as a follower!!
